Understanding the metrics

No single number tells the whole story. Read authority, trust and age together to judge how competitive a domain really is.

Domain Authority1 to 100
Predicts how likely a whole domain is to rank in search results, based on the quality and quantity of its linking root domains. It is logarithmic: moving from 70 to 80 is much harder than 20 to 30.
Trust Flow0 to 100
Measures link quality by how closely a site is linked to a hand-reviewed set of trusted seed sites. Higher means the backlink neighborhood is more reputable.
Citation Flow0 to 100
Measures link volume and influence without judging quality. Read it alongside Trust Flow: a TF/CF ratio near or above 1 suggests a clean profile.
Domain AgeYears
Time since the domain was first registered, taken from its live WHOIS record. Older domains tend to have deeper link histories, though age alone does not drive rankings.
Spam Score1 to 100%
The share of sites with similar features that Google penalized or banned. 1 to 30% is low; above 60% means the site's links and content deserve a closer look.
Referring DomainsCount
Unique websites linking to the domain. Usually a stronger authority signal than the raw backlink total.

Frequently asked questions

How many websites can I compare?

Up to 4 domains side by side. Each domain in a comparison uses one check from your pack, and a domain that can't be checked gives its check back.

How is the winner decided?

For each metric the best value is highlighted: highest for authority, Trust Flow, backlinks and age, lowest for Spam Score. The domain with the most wins is shown as the overall leader.

Do I need an account to compare domains?

Yes. Comparison is a Pro feature included with every check pack, so it needs an account that holds your checks.
